FRANK ANDRUSCAVAGE/STAFF PHOTO No serious injuries were reported when this Jeep sport utility vehicle crashed about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route 54 in the Mahanoy Township village of Suffolk. The crash was one of many in the county after a winter storm Tuesday, according to a Schuylkill County Communications Center supervisor. Mahanoy Township police are investigating the Route 54 crash that closed the highway for about an hour. Slippery, snow-covered roadways are to blame for the crash, emergency personnel at the scene said. Firefighters, fire police and EMS units from Mahanoy City along with Shenandoah ALS responded.
