Hotels, like life, are a series of compromises: Location, cost, service and services, room size and so on. But Hampton Inn Times Square manages to hit the sweet spot for each and every one of these things.

$215 a night (total, including tax) buys you a large and very pleasant room within 10 walking minutes of Times Square, free and fast Internet, a surprisingly good breakfast and a free snack in the room. The lobby is as nice as any Hampton Inn Ive ever been in, the property is spotless and the staff polite and efficient.

If money is no object and the hotel itself forms a large part of your travel experience, youll probably be happier with a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons type spa experience. But if you want a great place to come back to located near Times Square at reasonable rate, you wont do much better than this Hampton Inn.
